My current practice focuses on data protection, technology, media, and compliance. I advise clients whose businesses are powered by data and technology. I enjoy working with businesses, particularly start-ups, to ensure that they can rapidly adapt to the constantly evolving data protection and information technology regulations and watch their business flourish. The exquisite aspect of my role is having the opportunity to advise and engage in industries that must constantly innovate as technology evolves and legal reforms are introduced. Besides, I work on products/projects to design client experiences and digitize legal services based on data.

I am an associate focusing on Media&Entertainment, Litigation&Dispute resolution and Employment Law. I am experienced in representing our clients within the scope of both public law and private law especially on employment and consumer matters. Furthermore, I report day to day correspondence matters and disputes of major social network providers. As a lawyer, my focus is not only to provide the client with an effective legal solution to a problem, but also to provide the fastest response and applicable solutions. Finding the best solution to meet our clients’ needs in these complex and varied cases is what I enjoy the most as a lawyer.

As an Associate at BTS&Partners, I take part in long-term projects and provide day-to-day advice on how to be legally compliant when developing new ideas. The prior enables me to prepare customized legal texts after analysing the clients’ current and future needs, while the latter grants me the ability to provide tailormade legal advice to each novel design. My LL.M. and CIPP/e qualifications play as stepping stones for the evaluation of local and global compliance requirements which can be quite useful if an extra-territorial scope is triggered.

I assist Turkish and international clients in their data protection issues; implementing data retention obligations; drafting data protection policies; in their notificationa to the Data Protection Authority. I also advice our clients on trans-border data flows; provide assistance on data sharing agreements and deal with data subjects’ complaints. I also work on contractual and regulatory issues in the fields of banking, insurance, e-commerce and employment. I have been involved in a very large number of data protection compliance projects. Besides, I have advised both local and international clients on local regulatory compliance matters in the Turkish telecommunications market.
